These are the priority application deadlines for admission and merit-based scholarship consideration. Late applicants will be considered for university admission and financial aid, but programs with higher admission standards will give priority consideration to applications submitted by these dates. Our undergraduate graphic information technology program lives at the intersections of creativity, visual design and technology, preparing students to create visual content for multi-channel distribution – print, web, photo, video, animation.

Why Graphic Information Technology?

The cross-media nature of the graphics industry requires tomorrow’s graduates to understand the full spectrum of visual design and production, as well as current business practices. The B.S. program in graphic information technology prepares graduates for a seamless career as a visual design technologist encompassing Web design and development, printing and digital publishing, commercial photography and videography, and 2D/3D animation. This is an intensive program of study emphasizing theory and hands-on laboratory practice.

GIT prepares graduates for positions in the diverse graphic technology industries, such as:

  •      Web design and development
  •      digital asset management
  •      planning, designing and evaluation of cross media content creation and output
  •      pre-media, digital printing and publishing
  •      quality assurance
  •      digital media design and production
  •      motion graphics and animation
  •      usability and user experience design
  •      social media
  •      commercial and technical photography and video

Accelerated bachelor’s and master’s program

4+1 Accelerated ProgramThis degree is offered as an accelerated degree with the M.S.Tech in Technology (Graphic Information Technology). The accelerated bachelor and master degree is designed to provide selected high-achieving students with the opportunity to combine advanced undergraduate coursework with graduate coursework and accelerate graduate degree completion. This program allow accelerated students to obtain a bachelor’s and master’s degree within five years.
