Chad Spalt

Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Fellow for Raytheon Missile Systems

Chad Spalt works at Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) in Tucson, Arizona and is currently an engineering fellow with the advanced manufacturing and innovation group. Spalt has been with RMS for 16 years. Prior to his current role, he led the development and execution of the Operations New Product Introduction department. He has supported many additive manufacturing projects at Raytheon for both metals and polymer AM processes.

Spalt is the current Raytheon corporate manufacturing technology network champion and was the first corporate technology area director for manufacturing. Based on his prior work experience he led the creation of the Raytheon Manufacturing Technology Network and the execution of the first Raytheon Manufacturing Technology Symposium.

Spalt has over 32 years of experience in manufacturing and has worked with both military and commercial products. He has supported the design and production of everything from missile systems to space flight government electronics payloads to complete commercial satellites to internet equipped car radios. His career has focused on promoting the producibility and transition to production of newly developed products and the creation of robust, technically advanced manufacturing processes.

Spalt holds a Master of Science degree in industrial engineering from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering technology from Southern Illinois University.
