The graphic information technology program lives at the intersections of creativity, visual design and technology, preparing students to create visual content for multi-channel distribution – print, web, photo, video, animation.
Why Graphic Information Technology?
The cross-media nature of the graphics industry requires tomorrow’s graduates to understand the full spectrum of visual design and production, as well as current business practices. The graphic information technology program prepares graduates for careers as visual design technologists encompassing front-end web design and development, printing and digital publishing, commercial photography and videography, and 2D/3D animation. This is an intensive program of study emphasizing theory and hands-on laboratory practice.
GIT prepares graduates for career opportunities in the diverse graphic technology industries, such as:

Admission Requirements
General University Admission Requirements:
All students are required to meet general university admission requirements.
Freshman | Transfer | International | Readmission
Concurrent degree admission requirements:
Freshman applicants must meet all of the following standards:
- 3.75 minimum ABOR GPA
- No English competency deficiencies
- 960 SAT Reasoning (or 1040 if taken prior to March 5, 2016) or 22 ACT score
Transfer admission requirements:
Transfer students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 from a transfer institution.
Accelerated Master’s Degree option
The GIT degree is offered as an accelerated degree with the GIT MS. The accelerated bachelor’s and master’s degree is designed to provide selected high-achieving students with the opportunity to combine advanced undergraduate coursework with graduate coursework and accelerate graduate degree completion. This program allows accelerated students to obtain a bachelor’s and master’s degree within five years.
