Technological entrepreneurship and management

Where technology, innovation and leadership come together

Great ideas can change industries, improve lives and create new opportunities. Bringing those ideas to life requires more than technical expertise. It takes creativity, leadership and an understanding of how innovation moves from concept to reality.

The technological entrepreneurship and management (TEM) programs in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University prepare students to navigate the intersection of technology, business and entrepreneurship. Through hands-on learning and project-based experiences, you’ll learn how to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges and transform ideas into products, services and ventures.

Students come to TEM with different goals. Some want to launch startups. Others want to lead innovation inside established organizations. The program helps you develop the skills to turn ideas into action.

Lead what’s next

Technology is reshaping every industry, creating demand for professionals who can connect technical knowledge with strategic thinking. TEM students explore product development, innovation strategy, operations, emerging technologies and organizational leadership while developing the mindset needed to thrive in fast-changing environments.

The curriculum encourages students to think creatively, work across disciplines and approach challenges from multiple perspectives. Students can also expand their experience through internships, industry projects, research opportunities and Global Education programs that provide valuable professional connections and broader perspectives on innovation around the world.

Build the skills behind innovation

Graduates are prepared for careers across technology, business, consulting, product development, operations and entrepreneurship. Some lead innovation within established organizations, while others create new ventures and bring their own ideas to market.

You’ll graduate prepared to identify opportunities, navigate uncertainty and lead technology-driven initiatives from idea to implementation.
