Yuri Hoverson currently leads the engineering department at Able Aerospace Services (AAS) located at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. He has been with AAS for 20 years serving in various roles ranging from project engineer to operations manager to department head. He has experience in repair process design as well as new part design for aerospace components. He also has experience with many of the manufacturing processes that support the aviation industry including machining, shot peening and plating to name a few. Before attending Arizona State University, Yuri served in the US Navy as a nuclear trained petty officer on board the nuclear powered fast attack submarine the USS Topeka. Yuri has his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU and his master’s degree in industrial management from the University of Central Missouri. He was also an online adjunct instructor at UCM facilitating the following courses: project management, industrial management, human factors engineering, and facilities engineering.
