Dr. David Dietrich is an additive manufacturing (AM) design engineering fellow for Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, Arizona. Dietrich has worked in the field of additive manufacturing since 2004. From 2004-2016, he worked for Boeing research and technology. Ten of those 12 years were spent at the Boeing St. Louis site with the remaining two years as an industrial research fellow at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee. He holds a number of publications and has been awarded 12 US patents in the field of AM with expertise in both polymer and metal AM. In addition, Dietrich co-authored the book “Additive Manufacturing Change Management: Best Practices.“ In 2011, he was awarded the Society of Manufacturing Engineer’s Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award.
