Fused Deposition Model (FDM)
Fused Deposition Modeling is the most common type of 3D printer. The commonality between all these machines is a heating element that heats up and extrudes the partial molten plastic materials in a specified pattern one layer at a time. Stacking multiple layers results in a three dimensional object. The innovation Hub has several FDM printers available with the most advanced being the Fortus 450.
