40-Hr. HazWOpER Training Course

The SuperFund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 required the Secretary of Labor to issue regulations providing health and safety standards and guidelines for workers engaged in hazardous waste operations. The 29 CFR 1910.120 regulation requires training to provide employees with the knowledge and skills enabling them to perform their jobs safely and with minimum risk to their personal health. The 40-Hr. HazWOpER meets the OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3) and non-mandatory Appendix E. (Final Rule dated August 22, 1994 which defines the criteria for the training program curriculum, facility, instructor/ student ratios, hands-on training, program quality control, and proficiency assessments). *Earns 4 CEUs (Continuing education Units).
