Greenhouse Gases and GHG Regulation Seminar

This course first will survey greenhouse gas science and global warming. Second, the federal requirements for counting greenhouse gas emissions will be covered. Third, the regulation of GHGs under the Title V operating and PSD construction permit programs will be covered, with special emphasis on the tailoring rule and the determination of control technology for GHGs.(i.e., BACT). Fourth, other federal programs affecting GHG emissions, including the CEQ NEPA guidelines and the mobile source programs, will be addressed. Fifth, the concept of energy efficiency, green building and LEED certification will be explored.
