Profile:
Albert Brown is the director of Environmental Research Initiatives at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus and a lecturer in the Environmental Technology Management program. His recent projects included working as the Principal Investigator for a FEMA-funded project to develop national training classes for emergency management professionals.

Brown is a former Director for the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department. He also formerly worked for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Arizona Department of Health Services.

His 35 years of professional experience includes air quality, water quality, wastewater management, hazardous waste management, environmental remediation, solid waste management, food protection, vector control, public administration and public health practice. He teaches Environmental Management and Environmental Leadership courses, as well as provides guest lectures on air quality, water quality, environmental health and emergency management. He also teaches air quality certification classes to practicing air quality professionals and is involved in other environmental research projects including emergency management and water quality.
